Keweenaw Mountain Lodge

The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge was developed as a result of the economic downturn and high unemployment rates facing those living in Keweenaw County following the copper boom. The Keweenaw County Road commission hired 124 people without jobs to construct roads—including Brockway Mountain Drive—and the lodge. In 2018, the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge was sold by Keweenaw County. The lodge is present on the state and national historic registers and features log cabin lodging, a dining experience, and outdoor recreational activities, including golf.
